Sales Coordinator

Cordoba Music Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of acoustic guitars, ukuleles, and musical instrument accessories. CMG’s brands include Cordoba Guitars® and HumiCase®, which are globally distributed and used by musicians around the world.  Other CMG brands include Jose Ramirez® guitars, and Savarez® and Aquila® strings, of which CMG acts as primary importer and U.S. distributor to retail stores.  The company’s corporate headquarters are located in Santa Monica, CA, and distribution and manufacturing facilities are located in Oxnard, CA.

Cordoba is seeking a talented and energetic individual to fill the position of Sales Coordinator.  This individual will work at the corporate office in Santa Monica, CA to assist the sales team and dealer network.

Some duties include:

- Sales assistance and support for the Independent Dealer sales department.  Order entry and scheduling, pricing verification, sales reporting and analysis, dealer account management

- Coordination of Purchase Orders and EDI systems for National Accounts (Guitar Center, Amazon, Best Buy, Sam Ash Music, etc)

- Coordination and communication with the Quality Control, Order Fulfillment, and Operations teams at Cordoba’s Distribution Center in Oxnard

- Training, marketing, and product support to dealers

Requirements and Preferred Skills:

- Bachelors Degree

- Excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage details

- Ability to follow instructions and willingness to assume responsibility

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent teamwork and follow up skills

- Enthusiasm for music

- Basic guitar playing knowledge a plus but not required

CMG is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Quality Assurance Technician at our Oxnard location. Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for inspecting instruments (guitars and ukuleles) to ensure that they are within specification before they are sent to our dealers and customers. Technicians will maintain detailed logs and provide direct feedback to the Quality Assurance Manager regarding the condition of the instruments as they are inspected. Guitar knowledge and expertise are required for this position.

Required experience and skills:

• Experience with guitar setup, inspection and basic guitar construction
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Ambitious, creative and forward-thinking

This position is being offered at $12/hr with an available performance based bonus to be paid monthly. CORDOBA GUITARS PARTNERS WITH UCLA COMMUNITY SCHOOL IN SUPPORT OF MUSIC EDUCATION

SANTA MONICA, CA –Cordoba Music Group has donated 50 Cordoba guitars and cases in support of UCLA Community School’s Creative Expression Seminar Series. UCLA Community School is a UCLA-supported school located in one of California’s most high density, high poverty, and underserved neighborhoods in the mid-Wilshire/Pico Union area of central Los Angeles. Students actively participate in guiding their own education, and the Seminar Program provides various engaging opportunities for students to explore new interests and develop their skills. Part of the school’s Creative Expression series, and taught by 7th grade teacher Andre Feng, the semester-long “Guitar Heroes” program will run in both the fall and spring of this year. Middle school students will learn everything from the guitar’s anatomy to the works of Bob Dylan and the Beatles to an introduction to music theory. For those whose passion has been piqued beyond basic chords and strumming patterns, Music Theory is offered as a separate upper school course. Firm believers that a child’s first guitar makes a lifelong impression, Cordoba Music Group is proud to provide students with the tools they need to begin and pursue their musical endeavors.

This position oversees all order fulfillment and outbound inventory movement for CMG. Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and web-based EDI software interfaces is required. This position will be responsible for overseeing a queue of orders, managing a team of shipping personnel, and completing all EDI, ASN and routing request processes to execute shipments. Shipments range from small parcels to bulk pallets, as well as container size international exports. This position will work together with the Quality Assurance team and Inventory Management team to ensure efficient and thorough inter-departmental communication, and will be responsible for reporting on the productivity of the shipping team to management.

Cordoba Music Group co-hosted a sweepstakes with Jose Ramirez Guitars earlier this year. The winner of the sweepstakes won a trip for two to Madrid, Spain including a private tour of the Jose Ramirez Workshop and Museum. Amalia Ramirez, her nephew, Enrique, and her foreman, Ricardo, showed them the ins and outs of how they handcraft their beautiful guitars.
