Hiring: Supply Chain Manager

Cordoba Music Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of acoustic and electric guitars, ukuleles, basses and musical instrument accessories. Some of CMG’s brands include Cordoba Guitars®, Guild Guitars®, DeArmond® and HumiCase®, which are internationally distributed and played by a wide range of musicians. Cordoba is the largest supplier of nylon string guitars and ukuleles in U.S. retail chains, online retailers, and independent dealers across the USA. Guild is an iconic brand of acoustic and electric instruments with roots going back to the early 50’s. Other CMG brands include Savarez®, and Aquila®, of which CMG is the largest importer and U.S. distributor.

The Supply Chain Manager will analyze our current buying systems and maintain the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. They will be responsible for inventory planning across all warehouse locations based on sales projections and company inventory goals, managing and setting career objectives for members of the supply chain team, and communicating with upper management to ensure overall company needs are being met. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and is located in Oxnard, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all finished goods inventory purchases across 3 warehouse locations (California, China, Holland)
  • Manage team of coordinators and expediters to analyze and refine processes to support company fulfillment goals
  • Lead monthly high-level and item-level discussions with Sales and Executive team to review sales forecasting expectations and discrepancies
  • Maintain upkeep of purchasing software to inform purchasing and inventory decisions
  • Take the lead in identifying obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses
  • Create and analyze reporting to support monthly all-team vendor reviews to improve vendor performance
  • Maintenance of accurate inventory costing, including troubleshooting and corrections
  • Oversee supply chain logistics, maintaining low cost and excellent service from designated freight forwarders

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management & international logistics
  • Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies
  • Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – primarily Outlook & Excel
  • Highly nimble and adaptable to rapid changes common to a growing business
  • Motivated by continuous improvement & willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’
  • Great organization and communication skills, integrity, and a positive attitude
  • Data-driven mindset, extremely attentive to detail
  • Love of music and/or guitars a huge plus!
