Founded in 1952 in Manhattan, NY by Alfred Dronge, a guitarist and music-store owner, and George Mann, a former executive with Epiphone Guitar Company, Guild is an iconic American guitar brand. In its lifetime, American-made Guild Guitars have been manufactured in Hoboken, NJ; Westerly, RI; Corona, CA; Tacoma, WA; New Hartford, CT; and soon, in Oxnard, CA.
